I thought raising eight children was a challenge. I thought raising eight children was a challenge. Until this beloved old mate discovered he could muscle his was through the old wooden fence into the neighbours front yards and take himself on his own walk.
The same way I always walk him.
The quick fix three days ago couldn’t stop him. As he went off for a walkies without me once again today.
Once I had locate him thanks to Facebook groups. I then discovered he had taken the walking track as our usual norm, with photos to prove it. Once again thank you Facebook groups and a great community trying to get the old man home safe.
It is safe to say this boy has been grounded to indoors, with supervised yard access until proper repairs can be made.
Not that he cares in the slightest

With they way things have gone this year. We are planning to have a very budget friendly Christmas.

Sunday I spent the day doing something I hadn't do Sunday I spent the day doing something I hadn't done before.
I made healthy, budget friendly school snacks for the week. For the six children in my tribe that attend some sort of education.
Here is why.
Since starting our family budget and tracking our finances. School snacks has been the biggest part of our grocery bill every week. I was spending more money on pre-packaged snacks then I was on meat. And that is saying something.
So I made the could choice with my lack of cooking skills to try the homemade snacks.
Did I have any clue what I was doing???? No
Did it take more time then it should of???? Yes
But was it worth it??? Most definitely
For the first time in a long time my children didn't come home hungry. They eat everything and loved it. And as for my but for school snacks, I cut it in half.
While I did have about a quarter of the ingredients already, most of the ingredients I did purchase will last two weeks for my large tribe of eight kids.
That is a win in my books.
A little late posting this one but last week I pos A little late posting this one but last week I posted another blog post....
I have people asking how we cut our grocery bill in half. After going from spending $400-$600 per week. Down to $200 or less...
Well wait no more.
Head over to the blog and find out how we did it.

It has been a long year, filled with highs and lows. This year I have struggled to get stay on top of the house work while having a all eight kids at home during lockdown for a large part of the year. With tempting learning 6 kids education and having a consent stream of activity lined up for the pre-schoolers.
I soon learnt there where some very simple tasks that I could do quickly and easily. That made my home look instantly cleaner.
Check the post out now on the blog.
Find the link to my website on my bio. Than let me know in the comments what daily task make you home look cleaner.
These last two weeks I have been making little cha These last two weeks I have been making little challenges for myself.
- write a blog post everyday
- make a tiktok video and post it
- focus on three task per day
- get the daily tasks done
And I have done it 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yesterday I completely the one task I haven’t done in a while.
I picked up my camera and filmed a YouTube video.
So why am I sharing this????
Because even if you start to feel unmotivated or overwhelmed. You can change it. You are the one in control of your actions.
I haven’t felt like myself all year. I have felt drained and like a failure. But I am changing it. I am the only one who can. So I bushed away the self doubt and told the shitty inner voice to sit down and shut up 🤐
I created a plan and I am sticking to it. It is time to make my goals become reality
NEW BLOG POST 😁 We have been doing it a little NEW BLOG POST
😁
We have been doing it a little tough this year after losing a portion of our income this year. 💰
I was stressed out about how we could possible afford Christmas gifts this year for our tribe of eight children. 🎁
Little did we realise we had accidently been saving all year long. All by as simply swiping a rewards card or using a extra app when doing our regular shopping during the year. 😱😱😱😱
Budgeting is learning how and where to save money. Budgeting is learning how and where to save money. Learning what corners you have to cut.
This year we have taken an income hit this year. This cut our family grocery bill from between $400-$600 per week. To now $$130-$220 per week. Depending on other living expense.
Was it hard to adjust?
Yes
Did we start meal planning and making unnecessary purchase cut backs?
Yes
Now we stay in budget and live within our means. Not because we want to but because we have to.
It can be done.
If you are struggling right now know you are doing the best you can. You are learning so you can start thriving.
