November 23, 2017

Pregnancy can either be the best experience in your life of motherhood or the worst. Everyday is a journey and you soon find out that pregnancy is long and unpredictable. Whether you are having a good or bad pregnancy when you hit the third trimester you can feel completely over the whole thing. If you make it to the 9th month you are more than done with the whole pregnancy thing and just want to meet you little bundle of joy finally.

With the due date in sight you start to go through a lot of emotions. The excitement of welcoming your new arrival to the terror of giving birth. It is all normal in the final month. From my own experience with having two full term babies, that 9th and final month was the worst. That is why I am going to talk about 9 painful truths about the last month of pregnancy.

1 ~ You Might Not Want To Leave The House

In the final month of pregnancy you just really don’t want to leave the house. It can just feel like to much of an effort. Not to mention walking makes you tired and sitting in the car is just so uncomfortable. You might just find that you just want to be comfortable hiding away at home.

2 ~ Time Seems to Stop

With the due date in sight it can feel like time just slows down. Each day seems pass by slower and slower. The rest of the pregnancy just seem like it flew by. But now that you are in the last month it seems like everything just comes to a complete halt.

3 ~ The Swelling

When you get to the final month and you think you couldn’t get any bigger. Guess again, with all the extra fluid and blood starting to be retained in your body, you will start feel like one big puffy balloon. Your feet and hands will swell. And lets not forget about your face. Every part of you will feeling like its swollen in the last month.

4 ~ Pants are Uncomfortable

The last month of pregnancy is the most uncomfortable. No matter what sort of pants, skirts or dresses you wear you will never feel comfortable. Every piece of clothing you own will feel to tight and restricting. You deserve an award for getting dresses at all in the last month.

5 ~ Your Need to Use The Toilet More Than Ever

The final month can feel like you live in the bathroom. You might not think it is ever possible to spend more time running to the loo then what you already have. Think again because the baby is running out of room and it can feel like the baby is dancing on your bladder. It is a never-ending trip to the toilet all day long, and night as well.

6 ~ People Seem Nicely Rude

In the last month you already feel like a balloon as you are counting down the days until baby arrives. With pregnancy hormones running at an all time high you will soon get over hearing how big you are. You know they mean it in the nicest way but nobody ever likes being told how big the are. Not even a heavily pregnant women. Being told your so big is not a compliment.

7 ~ Sleep Disappears

In the last month you will find that you are awake more than what you are asleep. No matter how much you try, you can not get comfortable. Even if you finally do find a comfortable position, the baby will move and then your are uncomfortable once again.

8 ~ Nesting

Nesting is something that happen whether you realize your doing it or not. It will almost feel like you have achieved nothing in the whole nine months. Like you have left everything to the last-minute. You just might find yourself re-washing and organizing the baby clothes over and over again. Or in my case cleaning the house from top to bottom like a crazy person.

9 ~ Everyone Wants To Help

When you hit the last trimester of pregnancy you will find that everyone has some advice about something. When you start getting closer to your due date you might just find everyone has gross tips and tricks to bring on labor. Everyone, even strangers have ideas on how to help you. Then when it isn’t focused on unwanted advice you can feel like everyone is treating you like you can’t do anything. In the last month it will seem like everyone is eager to help with everything you do.

The ninth month of pregnancy is one of the hardest. Your baby is about to arrive and you are full of a mix of emotions. Some women want it to just be all over, while other don’t want their pregnancy journey to end. However you are feeling in your final month try to enjoy it because you might just find that once your baby has arrived you will miss being pregnant.
