The year is almost over and what an amazing year it has been. I started this blog, finally hitting that publish button nervously. From there the first half of the year was a battle with myself. I took time off, I tried some new strategies and then I came back two months ago. Now the final month of the year is almost over and it is time for a review. So sit back and let’s get this started.

The Highlights
One of my biggest achievements this year was that I actually started. I didn’t do a repeat of 2016 and just notebook the year away. This year a got on a computer and started the blog officially with a website and all. Since taking that big set, my confidence has grown and I am beginning to blog about more personal issues. I have also started the YouTube channel I have been planning for ages. I wasn’t going to start the channel until sometime next year. Then I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and just did it instead of procrastinating.
Where I Fell Short
I gave up for a while. At one point I just stopped blogging for about four months. I lost my motivation and my focus because I felt like I couldn’t do it all. To be honest I lost confidence in my ability to get through everyday life. I didn’t organise, I certainly didn’t plan and I forgot about my goals. I guess it just happens sometime. Now that I realize that, I have once again found confidence in myself, I am back to doing what I enjoy.
What I Learnt
Organisation is the key to success. When I started I had a plan but I didn’t have achievable steps or a schedule. I didn’t make myself accountable to meet deadline because I was treating this blog as a hobby. Now I have a blog schedule and am starting a YouTube schedule as well. I have two planners ready to go for 2018 on for business and one for everything. While I don’t know if my new organizational strategy will work I am going to give it a go. If need be I will make changes until u find something that works for me.
How I Can Improve
To keep learning everyday. What I mean by this is the world is always changing. As long as a keep an open mind and have a willingness to learn something new I am sure that I can achieve what I set out to do. Not just in my blogging but in life in general. I need to be more confident in myself and my abilities.
Overview
2017 has been a big learning curve for me. While I have taken the steps to push myself out of my comfort zone and I have achieved a great deal. There is still more I can do and more I can achieve. With every day that passes I learn something new about myself and my business. With a little bit more belief in my own abilities and learning how to play to my strengths more, I can be more successful in 2018.
